Date: April 26-27, 2008
Venue: Radio City Music Hall, New York City
Start time: 3PM EST on day one, 10AM EST on day two
Broadcast: ESPN/ESPN 2
Draft Process changes: 2 rounds selected on day one, as opposed to three in previous years. Selection time reduced from 15 minutes to 10 minutes for round one, and from 10 minutes to 7 minutes for round two. Rounds three through nine will maintain the 5 minute selection time.
Niner 2008 Draft picks
Currently, the Niners have all their individual picks in the 2008 Draft, one pick in each of the seven rounds. They do not have any additional draft picks in any round, as was the case in 2007. The Niners first round pick for 2008 was acquired from the Indianapolis Colts in 2007 (see trades link), and is likely to be a low first rounder given the Colts current record, and probability of them going deep in the playoffs. The Niners original 2008 first pick was dealt to the New England Patriots in 2007, which was used to draft Tackle Joe Staley from Central Michigan.
